Long Island's United Way is the local arm of the national United Way organization. Through its joint fundraising network, it supports the services and programs of 175 health and human service agencies across Long Island.

WD Interactive developed two Web sites for United Way to promote its extensive array of community support programs. Through iUpdate, WD Interactive's easy-to-use publishing tool LIUW's staff is able to update their own Web site from the convenience of their desktop computers. The Web sites enable the organization to gather supporters and volunteers and to accept donations online as well as disseminate news and alerts through an e-newsletter.
